I presume a lot of doubts and questions will come up. There is nothing better than meeting each other and in that way, you will be able to ask me everything you want. I will be pleased to listen to you, know what your needs are, and explain my way of working.
1. 1. How long in advance do we have to book?
Almost all weddings are from April to October, and on Saturdays! There are few and very concrete days during the year, that is why the sooner you book the wedding date, the better. And it is a pity to have to say, I am sorry, that day is busy…
2.2. Do you shoot more than a wedding a day?
Certainly not, how stressful would that be! Your wedding day is unique and I owe to you 100%. I cannot be looking at the clock, because your wedding is in the morning and I have another in the afternoon, or something like that……
3. 3. Do you shoot weddings outside Madrid?
Yessssssss!!! And love it!!! Take me to the end of the world and I will be delighted to go! Not only do I travel outside Madrid for the wedding, but also for the pre wedding featured shoot, Trash The Dress…In Spain or abroad.
Fear no proposal!
4. 4. We do not fancy posing and are ashamed of…
Neither do I! Both things! Take it easy, I will not tell you to pose. My photography is based on photojournalism and what´s more, I am to photograph what happens around me, without altering or influencing in the story.
Sips better after the party!
5. 5. How long will you be taking photos?
As long as you wish. If you are the kind who wants a lot of pictures, it will take a long time. If you are the kind who wants to be in the cocktail, half an hour is more than enough. It also depends on where you are getting married, or if we have to go far for the shooting session. The time it takes to move around cannot be counted as part of the photo session, of course!
The best thing to do is to take them nearby or at the very place of the wedding feast. I feel excited with anything I see around me!
6. 6. How long are you staying at the wedding feast?
About an hour and a half since you dance together. If I see the party is not so much in high spirits, I stay until I have enough material. I do not work by the hour, but by event.
7. 7. Do we have to choose ourselves the photo album?
Yes and No. The procedure is as follows: I design an album draft and send it to you as a pdf. The designing of the draft is no laughing matter. It is thought to be balanced, and also not to miss any moments, there is a story line behind. If among all the photos I hand over, I tell you you have to choose between 100-120 for the album, Wouldn´t you go crazy? In this way, I make it easier for you and the final result of all my work is the album. It is simple, elegant, doesn´t have coloured backgrounds or strange compositions. Less is more.
8. 8. What happens if we do not like a photo from the album?
Absolutely nothing! Anyway, you can make as many changes as you wish! I give you the base and we work together as a team!
9. 9. How many photos do you hand over?
It does not have to do with quantity, but quality. However, my advice is to select at least 500 photos. All designed, high resolution photos and without watermarks. My final work is not only the photographs, but also the SlideShow. I briefly explain what it is: slides of your wedding photos, together with music. It has several uses, it can be used as your wedding summary in a more friendly way (it lasts one song) or sent it to your guests, as a way of thanking their attendance to the wedding. The best thing to do is to see one SlideShow when you come to the studio.
10. 10. Do you make a contract? Do you invoice VAT?
Of course, and this is a must do. For my professional ethics and your peace of mind. I always make a contract, with a series of clauses which determine the forms, the timing, the handing, the payments…And each one of them with an invoice. My philosophy is to keep away from so common illegal practices in my profession. I pay my taxes and social security. My assistants as well. It is the way to make sure you are hiring true photography professionals.
